... and still in Brussels.

Due largely to my over-optimism on what it actualy takes to prepare properly for a motorcycle ride around the world, I am desparately behind schedule. I missed my test ride in the Iberian peninsular and apologise profusely to the Portuguese Club Veteranos and the Gibraltarians and anyone else who has been expecting to hear from me.

But today's good news is that the Saudi Arabia visa has been granted and I'll pick it up in Marseilles on 30 December at the SNCM offices. Their Belgian office donated the cross-Mediterranean boat ticket taking 22hrs on 1.1.2000. That should be quite a celebration - let's hope the millennium bug does not bite!

So tomorrow morning I'll be on the road south at last, and your virtual adventure starts. I'll also send you a summary of how things are looking (bike, budget, baggage and the tracker.)

Simon
